Cutie Update

The girls are growing and changing so much! It is so exciting.

Julia is starting to learn her letters and numbers. She has known her colors for a long time now. Her favorite color is pink and sometimes purple. She asked for yellow lip gloss, a baby doll and a real brown puppy for Christmas. She did not get a puppy. Julia, like most little girls, wants to hold any baby in sight and already thinks she is capable of being a little mommy. She is very artistic and loves to sing. It has been so cute to hear her belt out Christmas songs she only knows some of the words to. One of our favorite ones that she sings is "Frosty the Snowman is a jolly happy day..." She was very sad when we took down the Christmas tree on Saturday. She loves Christmas decorations and thinks "they are so beautiful". She always keeps us laughing and her imagination continues to bloom. Dave and I think she is amazing.
Lydia is talking more and more. Just a few seconds ago, she said "Santa". We saw a picture of him and so she got excited. She can say Ju-Ju, but it sounds a lot like Dada. She can say mommy and daddy and says it quite often. She has said Julia a few times. She can also say small words like ball and baby. She imitates sounds really well, and even sounds like she is saying small phrases or sentences sometimes. The other day it sounded like she said "I can do it". She says uh-huh a lot and has started saying "ooowwww" if I touch her hair because that's what her sister says when I touch her hair. She is learning animal sounds and can take direction well. She has started "singing" too and Dave and I love to hear her. She loves to boogy down to music and get into anything her sister is getting into. Dave and I think she is amazing.
Julia just turned 3 this month and Lydia will be 18 months in January. Lydia has all four sets of molars now and already wears size 5 shoes. She is close in height and weight to her sister, but Julia acts like Lydia is so little. The girls love each other so much and love to hug and kiss one another. They also argue often. They are a handful, but I love my crazy girls.
